    Abstract: 道家向以全生保真為旨,莊子既為道家大哲,生當戰國爭亂之世,提出保身免刑
    之道自是理所當然。因此歷來學者解釋〈人間世〉,多逕以「處世哲學」的角度理解本
    篇,強調其避禍免刑之義。但若識及〈養生主〉與〈人間世〉乃互為表裡之篇章,則
    〈養生主〉既肯定修養工夫具「保身、全生」之作用,而〈人間世〉中顏回又有「胡
    可以及化」之提問,則知莊子思想中實含「化世」之關懷,「免刑」一義並不足為〈人
    間世〉之旨。故本文在梳理〈人間世〉文義之餘,更著意於探究莊子「經涉世故」方
    面的意涵。由此理解視角,本文也注意到〈人間世〉中一些文句,如篇末「天下有道,
    聖人成焉;天下無道,聖人生焉。方今之時,僅免刑焉」一語,除允諾生命之「免刑」
    外,尚企向著「成物」與「全生」目的之實現。本文認為,以此為階,或許能找到一
    條莊子外王研究的可由之徑。
