Abstract:	2016 年奧運將在巴西里約 (Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) 舉行，本文回顧過去奧運媒體傳播之歷程，從文字、廣播、電視影像至數位科技內容的發展，並透過奧運在媒體傳播上的主要工作內容了解賽會訊息、報導及宣傳如何透過媒體發佈至世界各地。最後探討媒體傳播在奧運中的重要性，其除了經濟效益層面亦有提升國家或主辦城市形象之效。在結語部分則是強調資訊科技 (Information Technology) 在里約奧運或在未來奧運中如何改善並增加新的媒體傳播方式，其將是未來國際大型運動賽會的籌備單位及閱聽大眾可關注的方向。
