Abstract:	本文旨在透過前人研究成果，探討西藏喪葬習俗的形成過程及其歷史發展。在遼闊高寒的地理環境下，西藏喪葬習俗歷經原始天葬、土葬、火葬，形成今日以帶有苯教儀軌和佛教宗教思想的現代葬儀。不同學者在考古文物陸續出土的過程中，根據文獻並透過田野調查的比對及綜合分析，所還原出的西藏喪葬制度的發展過程，有必要加以串聯，方能以系統性的理論做為研究西藏民族起源、宗教發展與文化變遷等相關課題的憑藉。探討藏族喪葬習俗今昔狀況以及未來發展趨勢，對藏族深層文化具有積極開發的研究意義。
