Abstract The life-long revolutionary aspiration of Dr. Sun Yet-sen, a successor to the Chinese orthodox culture, was not only to the salvation of his own country and his own people, but also to an ultimate emancipation of humanity. He always urged upon both himself and his comrades as well as his people the ideals of Fraternity and The-World-Is-for-AII. Therefore, it can be said that Dr. Sun's thoughts, writings and his hard fights were all revolution-orientated with the definit purpose of founding a free China with World Peace being its stand. It was China's greatest teacher Confucius who first advocated the World Peace Thought and Dr. Sun Yat-sen was the one who made it flourish. They are both great men not only in the history of China, but also in the history of the world. The have made great contributions to human civilization. The following are five major bases cf Dr. Sun's World Peace Doctrine: 1. The Theory of the Evolution of the Universe 2. The Theory of the Evolution of Man 3. The Theory of Emulation of Morality 4. The Theory of Service and Mutual Help 5. The Theory of Freedom and Equality And the following are five ways through which Dr. Sun Yat-sen's Doctrine of World Peace can be realized: 1. The Principle of Nationalism as foundations 2. The Mental Reconstruction as starting point 3. Self-cultivation, Family Discipline, and Administration of National Affairs as measures of realization 4. Local Self-government as basis 5. Industrialization as Plans for National Reconstruction It is the earnest hope of Dr. Sun Yat-sen that we, loyally following his teachings, work together to disseminate the Belief of World Peace and do our utmost to make possible an early realization of his lofty ideal.
