    Abstract:

    Abstract
SinceSung Dynasty (960A.C.-1270A.C.), The scholars have been interested in researching the ancient tools and instruments because of the discovery of the bronze. The inscriptions in the instruments are really the direct information and research source of ancient history, politics, culture, custom and literature. If the inscriptions of the instruments can be continually discovered and be verified and explained in detail, that will make up the shortage of the data and correct some wrong notions and explanations for the ancient history and literary classics.
Therefore, by means of what I have researched, I try to verify and explain the source and status of Ko Bell. The methods are as follows:
      1. Study the literary classics written by the ancient scholars in order to understand the trace and hestory about the bell such as: in what books it has been recorded, when it was discovered, ad kept and collected
      2. According to the Shape of the Bell, it is proved to be composed of a set of bells which contain musical tones and are able to play beautiful melody.
      3. According to the style of the handwriting in the inscriptions and the time recorded on the instruments, and being compared with other contemporary instruments, it belongs to the period from King Yi to King Li (894 B.C.841B.C.)
      4. Studying and explaining the inscriptions word by word, we are aware why the Kang Temple was constructed in its special shape, how the regulations and etiquette were set up, and why Ko Bell was made. Through researching and verifying the inscriptions in the Bell, it will be much helpful to research the origin and science of Chinese Character.
