Abstract The purpose of this study was to explore the homework in the fifth grade and sixth grade students. A questionnaire with 27 questions administered to a sample of 915 students (fifth grade: 452; sixth grade: 463) The main findings of this study are as follows: 1. Students felt that the Chinese-language subject had more homeworks than other subjects (Mathematics, Social Studies, Natural Science...) 2. Students showed more positive reactions toward the attitude of their homework. 3. Students spent approximately 1-2 hours for doing homeworks every day of which. Mathematics required more time than other subjects. 4. 1/3 of students couldn't finish their homework on time due to their slowness.
