Abstract Environmental Education is a very popular subject among current research the-me of environmental preservation and protection. Within this academic circle, many scholars and researchers proposed their scholastic explanation from their scientific domain's view of points to interpret their research findings and results. It is not easy to synthesiz the overall comprechensive interpretation of this subject, not to mention to analyze the explanation including not only the natural but also the artificial and social-cultural environmental points. People misunderstaod the nature of theenvironment education as a narrow-minded subject, so they believed techiaical techniques alone could solve environmental problems. Many schools set their environment education centers at their department of Mathematics or Sciences or even Biology were the most apparent examples. Nevertheless, the environmental education is a highly interdisciplinary subject, we ought to widen and diminish our view of points comprehensively. This article tried to use the following five main contents and their activities examples as the inner meanings of environment education. Three periphery of Taipei area, respectively Pan-Chiao, Chung-Ho, and Hsin-Chuang City, have been targeted as the research areas.
