Abstract Symphonic poem is a piece of orchestral music, set from literary, poem, musical idea or program. It is usual in one movement. Poematic Symphony is a name sometimes given to the kindred form in more than one movement. This study includes three parts-origin, development and conclusion. It focuses on the 2nd part- " Development ", and reviews the contribution be made by F. Liszt on symphonic poem and the history of symphonic poem developing in Czech, Russia, France, Germany, Italy, England and other European countries.
