    Abstract: 畫像石墓是漢代的墓葬建築，也是研究漢代政治、經濟和社會發展之重要史料。本文先探討畫像石興起的原因與其分布範圍，再進一步整理考古發掘資料與前人研究成果，發現畫像石墓主的社會階層多為兩千石以下的官員，或是一般富裕的平民百姓。
