    Abstract: 劉逢祿（1776-1829）是清代嘉慶、道光間的經學家。他所處的時代是古文經學主導學術界的時代。由於時代的變革，古文學也成了改革的阻力。要推動改革，最有效的方法就是打倒古文學。劉逢祿的《左氏春秋考證》，以為《左傳》經劉歆?亂，點燃往後今古文之爭的戰火。
    本文除研究《左氏春秋考證》的體例，劉逢祿論辯《左傳》之方法，劉歆如何改編《左氏春秋》外，兼檢討劉逢祿論辯《左氏春秋》方法的得失和《左氏春秋考證》一書對晚清、民初學術界的影響。
