Abstract:	本文條暢論述唐代花鳥畫在中國美術史上具有雅承前朝各代之源緒，李唐畫藝名家又在皇室多方獎掖之下，以及民間藝術家之珍愛畫藝，再加上民間百姓之普遍喜愛觀賞花鳥畫。於是，在上述各種優良之畫藝氛圍下，相激相盪，彼此師習，因而對畫理之覃思、畫技之研創，以及對畫藝題材內容之拓展，均有空前之貢獻。為明晰計，本文乃分：（一）古代花鳥畫之發展情態（二）唐代花鳥畫知名畫家之藝事誌趣，並論述折枝花（三）畫竹大師蕭悅等節。在各段文章中凡涉及各名家之創作風格，畫藝題材與承先啟後之相互影響關係，以及對後世畫藝之諸多貢獻，均作周詳而具體之論述，俾研讀者能對唐代之花鳥畫有全貌之體認。
