Abstract:	本研究目的為探討大臺北地區國小高年級學童對颱風現象及其相關概念的認知狀況，及其影響學童概念差異的因子。本研究採用質量並量的分析，研究工具包含研者發展的颱風現象相關概念問卷及半結構式訪談大綱，研究對象是大臺北地區國小五年級學童，有效樣本數為885名，並從樣本學童中挑選10位學童進行訪談，以獲得與本研究有關的颱風迷思概念或另有想法。研究資料以t考驗、Pearson積差相關、單因子變異數分析、事後比較等統計方法進行分析處理。研究結果歸納如下：一、大部皆學童對於颱風天氣型態及其形成原因已有初步認識，但是對於低氣壓的概念，並不是很清楚。二、男女學童在概念得分上有顯著差異，尤以颱風天氣型態、颱風形成原因的主題上，差異已達顯著水準。三、臺北縣與臺北市學學童在概念問卷得分上，有顯著差異。四、不同家長社經地位指數的學童在概念得分上，有顯著差異，尤以高家長社經地位學童與低家長社經地位學童，差異已達顯著水準。五、受訪學童存有的迷思概念或另有想法共有十點。
