    Abstract: 本文採理論探究方式，探討英文 education、teaching 與 curriculum 三詞的語源， 與三詞的詞義。研究的發現有數項： 1. education 宜有引出或導出、訓練以及養育三種詞義。 2. teaching 與 instruction 詞義雷同，若要區分應以 teaching 包含 instruction 為宜。 3. curriculum 的拉丁文語源顯示有跑（running）的詞義，當前教育與課程文本常不當 的介紹拉丁文語源有跑馬道的詞義。
