Abstract:	校長專業發展係當前我國教育發展的重要工作之一。本文的目的在討論我國中小學校長專業發展的必要性以及發展管道和策略，供教育行政機關及中小學校長參酌。本文先從「學校本位管理的教改趨勢」、「九年一貫課程改革」、「校長遴選制度」以及「終身學習與學習型組織理念」等觀點，來論述校長專業發展的必要性。其次則說明國內目前中小學校長專業發展的正式與非正式管道與方式。最後則把重點放在國內校長專業發展的六個策略：成立校長中心與學校領導學苑、為初任校長提供師傅校長的支持系統、引入校長證照制度及定期更新證照制度、發展校長專業檔案的觀念與作法、鼓勵校長進行行動研究、實施校長評鑑制度。最後，本文根據校長專業發展的策略，對於我國中小學校長的專業發展，提出若干建議。
