Abstract:	[簡介](資料來源:博客來網路書店) 社會重建主義是「危機哲學」，也是「希望哲學」，在1930年代，它源起於經濟危機之中，提出烏托邦式的改革想像，賦予人類對教育無窮的希望。在不同的時期，社會重建主義者的理念，經過後世學者再概念化後，以不同的面貌出現，持續發揮影響力，帶出改革的希望。　　本論文集就「社會重建課程」中數個重要主題發揮，共收錄24篇文章，另加3篇譯稿，共27篇，分別歸類在「紮根本土」、「全球取經」、「在地全球化」，以及「社會重建新視野」四大主題。期望華人讀者對於「社會重建課程」能有基礎的、在地的、全球的，以及前瞻的多元視野。　　書中各篇呈現出國內外學者從不同角度的思維，及不同教育場域的實踐，勇敢而堅定的回應George S. Counts在1932年的大哉問：”Dare the School Build a New Social Order？”。希望本論文集讓智性的激辯與感性的激盪持續，讓讀者自己來回應這個歷久彌新的問題：學校敢於建立新的社會秩序嗎？
