Abstract:	本研究主要探討六至八歲兒童氣質的穩定和變化情形，以及瞭解家長知覺氣質特性變化的外在和內在的可能因素。研究兼採訪談和量的方法蒐集資料，包括兒童氣質量表的使用，以及電話訪談追蹤的116位兒童家長，以了解孩子氣質的發展趨勢，和家長知覺的兒童氣質變化的可能原因。研究結果發現，在氣質之規律性、趨近性和反應閾三個向度上，該研究所追蹤的116位兒童在民國89年6月、90年2月和90年10月這三個時間點上達顯著差異，顯示氣質的變化，特別是從幼稚園至小學一、二年級這階段；其它六個向度，即活動量、適應性、情緒本質、反應強度、容易轉移注意力和堅持度則無顯著差異，呈現穩定狀態。在短短的兩年間，氣質各向度呈現變化和穩定狀態，的確是件有趣的事，然而究竟是什麼原因讓孩子氣質某些向度呈現變化或保持穩定？筆者在與家長電話互動過程中，約略得知一些可能的線索，同時也深刻體會他們渴望知道如何協助孩子成長的心意，以及他們期待追蹤孩子氣質研究能持續進行的心聲。
