The study is try to investigate the effectiveness of the reading strategies program for 3 rd graders and 4th graders. The independent variables of the study are grades, reading strategies program, and the reading ability. The interaction among all these variables is expected. From the previous study, we find out those children of the third graders improved on reading comprehension after three strategies were introduced. However, to look into the details of their improvement, the summarization ability is not so significant different between the experimental group and the control group. The trend is there., however. In this study we try to find out what is the better way to evaluate the summarization ability on both third graders and fourth graders. From previous study, we also find out the workshop teachers of experimental group went to was not long enough to let teachers have time to understand all the details related to reading comprehension. In this study, we would like to let teachers have more time and give them the teaching program designed by the research group.
